RIKEV.NET

The personal site of Rikev

This is the personal website of a curious techie who wants to try a bit of hand-coding for the web. Currently the website is under construction (and has been for a long time) whilst I decide what content to display and more importantly, how to go about doing it.

I should note that this website does use HTML5 and I currently don't have any checking in place to ensure a visitor's browser supports this new standard. If you do experience problems with the layout, please update to a newer browser. Most of the site's testing is carried out in Internet Explorer 9, but I am trying to keep it looking the same on the big three web browsers.

For further information on HTML5, please visit W3Schools.

A second article?

This is a second article just for testing purposes. An article should be a self-contained piece of content that could theoretically be included in an RSS feed and make sense slotted into any page. But an article isn't always an article, semantics for you!

On that note, I brain farted in my first revision of this template and placed the opening tags for the container in the site's head tag. Whoops! No wonder the site header was screwed up and the elements inside collapsing into each other (which I hope it isn't right now. Refresh if it is).
